Mara Trilla (b. 1980) is an Argentine photographer and visual communication designer, currently based in La Plata, Argentina.
Before becoming a mother of three, she worked as a graphic designer. In 2011, when her first son was born, she decided to dedicate herself fully to motherhood. This experience led her to photography, which she pursued through self-teaching, solidifying her passion for the medium.
Her personal work focuses on long-term projects inspired by her intimate experiences of giving birth and raising children, exploring themes such as childhood, family, and motherhood.
She continues working on her ongoing project Mom, Freedom!, which documents her children's daily lives. After photographing the final year of her grandmother's life and death, she began a new body of work titled Births (2022-), centered on humanized home births.
